Job Description:

Central State Hospital is looking to fill full-time LPN positions for the 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM shift and 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Under supervision of a Registered Nurse, provides and directs Basic ADLs of patients and carries out and documents medication and treatment process. This position is required to understand and follow all patient safety policies and procedures, to participate in required Patient Safety training programs, to support and abide by the National Patient Safety Goals as interpreted and applied at this hospital, and to do all that is reasonable to prevent injury to patients, employees, the facility, and the general public.

  • Three 12-hour shifts/week

  • Every other weekend off (Additional $1.00 on weekends)

  • Shift differential (10% hourly wage increase from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM and 12% hourly wage increase from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM)

Essential Job Functions:

Under supervision of a Registered Nurse, provides and directs Basic ADLs of patients and carries out and documents medication and treatment process. Utilizes trauma-informed care approach.

Required:

  • Must be licensed in Kentucky as a practical nurse or must have a valid work permit issued by the Kentucky Board of Nursing.

  • Must have computer competency in approved hospital systems.

  • Must have excellent customer service skills.

  • Therapeutic communication.
